The “Winning Circle” Young Adult Ministry (ages 19 – 35), is in the midst of an exciting (13) Part Sunday School lesson entitled “Fundamentals of Faith”. These lessons are designed to help you grow in the grace & knowledge of Jesus Christ! All Young Adults are encouraged to come out!

The DCCC Christian Academy & Child Development Center is NOW enrolling for ages 6 weeks – 5^th Grade for the 2010-2011 school year and we’re asking the congregation to help us spread the word to our community! We offer new lower rates, degreed teachers, & quality daycare! Currently the school is also accepting applications for employment. For any questions pick up an information packet in the church foyer or contact our school office.

Shelter Meals are still needed for the PRTC Homeless Shelter. Please sign up in the bookstore. There is also a list of supplies that are needed continuously for the patrons of the shelter located in the bookstore as well.

September Announcements

This is a corporate call to the congregation to make mid-week Worship a part of your weekly discipleship every Wednesday night, to be a part of Prayer, Praise & Worship and a new Bible Study being taught by Pastor Thomas on “Developing Your Faith to Get Results” which will be coming from the Book of James starting at 7:30 p.m. sharp, in the Sanctuary. In addition, both the Children’s and the YPD Departments will continue to have Bible Study every Wednesday night for all ages starting at 7:30 p.m. All children and youth are encouraged to come out!

All Ministry Leaders and their leadership teams mark your calendars...Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. we will have Leaders Forum.

Dale City Christian Church will celebrate Servants’ Service Day on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the 11:00 a.m. service. The theme is “Growing Deeper in Love for Going Forward to Show Greater Love” (Luke 10:30-37). Rev. Kevin Fennell of Mt. Jezreel Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD will be the Guest Preacher for the 11:00 a.m. service. Our purpose for this service is to celebrate service and to continue to promote our commitment to being a purpose driven church there will be a special presentation for these individuals by their ministry leaders at the Servants’ Service Day service. There will also be a fellowship dinner for the entire church as we honor these special individuals. Also, on Servants’ Service Day please bring your canned goods to help stock the Food Pantry for the community we will be donating them to ACTS (Action in the Community through Service) as our act of service.

The Singles Ministry would like to invite all singles to a wonderful day at Sight & Sound in Lancaster, PA to see the “Psalms of David”, an energetic journey through the heart and music of King David on Saturday, September 18, 2010! The cost is $55 per person which will include cost of the show, lunch and carpool transportation. We are expecting to have a day of fun, excitement, and fellowship! Please sign up in the Bookstore. The Young Purposed & Divine’s Children’s Ministry will host its annual Back-to-School Children’s Jamboree on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. for children ages 6-12! We’re encouraging parents to bring out their children for this fun-filled time. The event is FREE & will be held in the Fellowship Hall with hot dogs, snow cones, cotton candy, & popcorn. There will be moon bounce, face painting, balloon twister, games & other activities. DCCC Children’s Rap Ministry “Delivered” will also be featured! Prizes & giveaways will include (4) $25.00 Visa gift cards, (2) fully loaded book bags, as well as a cash prize for the child who brings the most first-time guests!

We need your help congregation…to reach out and help meet the needs of the community we invite you to come out on Monday, September 13 and Monday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. for preparation to go into the community no later than 7:30 p.m. each night to help us to spread the word and to pass out flyers about the upcoming Community Job Fair to those in our community who are seeking employment.

The Multicultural Scholarship Committee needs your support DCCC! They will be kicking off their fundraising efforts with Rib Dinners for Sale on Sunday, September 19, 2010 immediately following the 11:00 a.m. service. So bring your appetites!

Attention all members if you currently serve or have served in any branch of the United States Armed Forces we need you!! We are in the process of updating our United States Armed Forces Board in preparation for the upcoming Veteran’s Day Celebration and we want to recognize those that have served this great country. Please provide to the church office your photo, rank and years of service information by September 24, 2010.

Annual Men’s Day Service will take place on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the 11:00 a.m. service. They will be “Promoting Mentorship” (Mark 1:14-18). The Men’s & Boys’ Picnic will immediately follow the service. Please pick up a flyer in the Bookstore for more information.
